The Hershey Company is one of the world's largest food producers and the oldest chocolate company in the United States. Known for its chocolate bars, of which Hershey's are best known. It also owns the Hersheypark theme park. Created in 1894 as a Lancaster Caramel Company the production of milk chocolate - Hershey Chocolate Company. The company became public in 1927. In the 60s, a factory was opened in Canada, bought by H. B. Reese Candy Company, San Giorgio and Delmonico Foods, and the company was renamed Hershey Foods Corporation.
