The relation between a trader's funds and the margin expressed as a percentage. It shows the possibility or impossibility of both opening new positions and maintaining the already open orders. It is calculated as follows: Equity/Margin × 100%.
These are usually the shares of low capitalization companies, valued at less than $5 per share. The dynamics of such stocks are extremely volatile, which makes them risky for investment but attractive for speculation.
This index shows the ratio of the US dollar to a basket of six major currencies: Euro (EUR), Yen (JPY), Pound sterling (GBP), Canadian dollar (CAD), Swedish krona (SEK), and Swiss franc (CHF), whith the Euro having the largest weight of 57.6%. Currently being calculated and traded on ICE (Intercontinental Exchange, Inc.).
